Με θέμα
«μηχανισμοί ειρήνης» κλήθηκαν σε διεθνές επίπεδο να συμμετάσχουν οι
ενδιαφερόμενοι καλλιτέχνες στην φετινή διοργάνωση της Santorini biennale 2014 που θα πραγματοποιήσει τα εγκαίνιά
της στις 5 Ιουλίου στο ξενοδοχείο Aressana, στα Φηρά.
Το πρόγραμμα των
εκδηλώσεων, σύμφωνα με τους διοργανωτές, πρόκειται να παρουσιαστεί τις επόμενες
ημέρες, στο οποίο θα περιλαμβάνεται το σύνολο των εκδηλώσεων που θα αποτελέσουν
την φετινή διοργάνωση, καθώς και οι χώροι που θα την φιλοξενήσουν.
Εντυπωσιακός
είναι δε ο αριθμός των συμμετοχών ο οποίος φτάνει στους 1600 συμμετέχοντες
σύμφωνα με τις μέχρι στιγμής αναρτήσεις των επιμελητών της Santorini biennale 2014.

The 2nd edition of the Santorini Biennale studies
causations and reasons why humans are often guided to violent actions which
provoke crisis, conflict and war and how the arts can create mechanisms to
oppose them!
The works selected reveal a sophisticated view of
Peace using references taken from everyday life. They tend to solicit and
provoke the viewer into re-examining and rethinking Peace - in every day
personal and social dimensions.
